Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Regional Vice-President (ARVP) to join our Business Development team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for retaining and growing assets under administration for AWM by supporting Assante's advisory network with practice management education, communicating and building support of AWM initiatives, programs, and services/tools and helping advisors and branches grow and succeed. The ARVP, Business Development will have responsibility for managing and growing the territory, as well as have the flexibility and entrepreneurialism to run their business. The ARVP, Business Development will be located in their respective regional offices, as well as traveling into their sub-region to deliver sales presentations and build the business.

Dans ce rôle, la personne retenue sera responsable de la rétention et de la croissance des actifs sous administration pour AWM en soutenant le réseau de conseillers d’Assante par la formation en gestion de pratique, la communication et la promotion des initiatives, programmes et outils/services d’AWM, ainsi que par l’accompagnement des conseillers et des succursales afin de favoriser leur croissance et leur réussite.
L’ARVP, aura la responsabilité de gérer et de développer son territoire, tout en bénéficiant de la flexibilité et de l’esprit entrepreneurial nécessaires pour diriger ses activités. Le ou la titulaire du poste sera basé(e) dans le bureau régional correspondant et effectuera également des déplacements dans sa sous-région afin de présenter des exposés de vente et de développer les affaires.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Grow AWM’s market share by helping advisors/branches grow their business
  • Provide service and support to advisors in the region through proactive outbound sales/service calls
  • Support advisor recruitment by proactively developing relationships with prospective advisors including proactive outbound calls to set up meetings
  • Provide timely support, information and practice management strategies to advisors
  • Manage and handle incoming Advisor calls and service requests
  • Develop service and growth strategies, leverage resources appropriately, work closely with business partners, and ensure consistent messaging to the region’s constituents
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry competitors, investment vehicles, financial markets and economic data
  • Provide continual feedback to Management on practice management trends, product requests, competitive information and marketing and operational matters
  • Participate in all required team meetings and training including regional advisor council meetings
  • Ensure all activities including meetings, notes, etc. are tracked and logged into Salesforce/Navigator

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Minimum 3 years financial industry experience, with prior sales, client service and/or relationship management experience in a MFDA/IIROC dealer preferred.
  • Full understanding of wealth management and investment products practices and codes
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct in person and phone meetings effectively

Education/Training

  • University degree
  • Canadian Securities Course
  • CFP, CIM, and/or CFA an asset

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of distribution and wealth management, investment themes and products
  • Extensive knowledge of investment industry, practice management methods, advisor technology
  • Relationship management skills, ability to develop, foster, and maintain relationships and inspire trust and confidence is critical
  • Able to make quick and appropriate decisions, while constantly work within the regulatory framework

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel required to advisors offices, road shows, conferences, seminars and industry events
  • Required to work beyond normal working hours
  • Normal office environment

RESPONSABILITÉS:

  • Accroître la part de marché d’AWM en aidant les conseillers et les succursales à faire croître leurs activités

  • Gérer et gérer les appels entrants des conseillers et les demandes de service
  • Élaborer des stratégies de service et de croissance, tirer parti des ressources de manière appropriée, travailler en étroite collaboration avec les partenaires commerciaux et assurer la cohérence des messages aux électeurs de la région
  • Maintenir une connaissance pratique des concurrents de l’industrie, des véhicules d’investissement, des marchés financiers et des données économiques
  • Fournir une rétroaction continue à la haute direction sur les tendances en matière de gestion de la pratique, les demandes de produits, l’information concurrentielle ainsi que les questions de marketing et d’exploitation.
  • Participer à toutes les réunions d’équipe et à la formation requises, y compris les réunions du conseil des conseillers régionaux
  • Assurez-vous que toutes les activités, y compris les réunions, les notes, etc., sont suivies et connectées à Salesforce/Navigator

EXIGENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS:

Expérience

  • Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience dans le secteur financier, avec une expérience antérieure en vente, en service à la clientèle et / ou en gestion des relations chez un concessionnaire MFDA / OCRCVM de préférence.
  • Compréhension complète des pratiques et des codes de la gestion de patrimoine et des produits d’investissement
  • Solides compétences en matière de présentation et capacité à mener efficacement des réunions en personne et par téléphone

Éducation/formation

  • Diplôme universitaire
  • Cours sur les valeurs mobilières canadiennes
  • CFP, CIM et/ou CFA un actif

Connaissances, compétences et capacités

  • Connaissance approfondie de la distribution et de la gestion de patrimoine, des thèmes et des produits d’investissement
  • Connaissance approfondie de l’industrie des placements, des méthodes de gestion de la pratique, de la technologie des conseillers
  • Les compétences en gestion des relations, la capacité de développer, de favoriser et de maintenir des relations et d’inspirer la confiance sont essentielles
  • Capable de prendre des décisions rapides et appropriées, tout en travaillant constamment dans le cadre réglementaire

CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL:

  • Déplacement requis pour se rendre aux bureaux des conseillers, tournées de présentation, conférences, séminaires et événements de l’industrie
  • Obligation de travailler au-delà des heures normales de travail
  • Environnement de bureau normal
