We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production and Purchasing Coordinator to own end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of packaging orders, from material procurement through outsourced processing to final production and shipment.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and brings strong problem-solving and communication skills. You will play a key role in balancing customer demands, production capacity, material availability, and operational flow to ensure on-time delivery and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain production schedules
- Coordinate orders through all production stages
- Purchase raw materials and outsourced services
- Work closely with vendors, production, warehouse, and sales teams
- Monitor job status, delivery timelines, and production flow
- Help manage work-in-progress (WIP) and plant capacity
- Support continuous improvement in scheduling and operational processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, purchasing, or supply chain coordination
- Manufacturing experience required; packaging/printing industry experience is an asset
- ERP experience required (Dynamics AX experience considered an asset)
- Strong Excel, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
