Job description

Fitch Learning is a leader in financial services training. With unrivaled breadth and depth, the company delivers learning solutions for apprentices, graduates, and those with 10+ years’ experience in Financial Services. Our offerings include expert faculty, e-learning, coaching, and blended assessments, improving individual and collective business performance.

Working at Fitch Learning provides the opportunity to be part of a global leader in financial education, committed to delivering cutting-edge training solutions. You'll collaborate with a team of experts dedicated to empowering professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the finance industry. By joining us, you'll be at the forefront of innovation in professional education, contributing to impactful learning experiences that drive career advancement and industry success.

Fitch Learning is currently seeking a Senior Learning Partner, Commercial Credit & Lending (Director) based out of our Toronto office.

About the Team:

You’ll join a high-visibility, client-facing team that partners closely with Client Relationship Sales, product development, implementation, and marketing to deliver impactful, credit-focused learning solutions across North America.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Client Partnership and Solution Support

  • Partner with the Client Relationship Sales team to understand client learning needs and provide subject matter expertise across credit and lending topics
  • Contribute to client discussions by bringing insight into business, commercial, and corporate lending capability needs
  • Help shape relevant learning recommendations and support the development of tailored client solutions
  • Act as a trusted internal advisor on credit and lending-related opportunities
  • Support presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal development where credit subject matter expertise is required

Customer Success and Client Engagement

  • Understand and articulate customer learning goals and desired outcomes from the delivery of our solutions
  • Work closely with Fitch Learning sales, product, and implementation teams to help ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and support discussions around delivery performance, impact, and effectiveness
  • Contribute to ongoing client engagement by identifying evolving learning needs and opportunities for continued partnership
  • Create and/or support data-driven insight reports that help demonstrate customer success

Solution Development and Implementation Support

  • Serve as a bridge between client needs and internal product, implementation, and delivery teams
  • Support the transition from client discussions through implementation, as appropriate
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to solution design, customization, and credit/lending-focused development projects
  • Act as a sponsor and/or subject matter expert for client-driven development initiatives
  • Support implementation activities where solutions or rollouts are especially complex

Communication, Reporting and Thought Leadership

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Fitch Learning to share client insight, market needs, and solution feedback
  • Represent Fitch Learning in webinars, industry events, trade shows, and other client-facing activities as needed
  • Contribute to thought leadership content on credit, lending, and related market topics

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in credit, commercial lending, corporate banking, business banking, or financial services consulting, with direct exposure to Business Banking, Commercial Banking, and/or Corporate Lending
  • Strong credit knowledge, including familiarity with lending products, credit analysis, underwriting concepts, borrower assessment, and the broader commercial and corporate lending environment
  • Experience working in a client-facing, consultative role, supporting solution design, proposal development, and senior stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to support enterprise sales cycles and customer success activities
  • Experience with learning solution delivery, training, or capability development in financial services environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with eLearning, blended learning, coaching solutions, LMS/LXP platforms, and data-driven reporting is beneficial
  • Willingness to travel 5–10% for client meetings, events, and conferences

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Prior experience in commercial lending, corporate banking, credit training, lending advisory, or financial services consulting
  • Experience as a Learning Partner, Pre-Sales Consultant, Solutions Consultant, or Sales Engineer within financial services training
  • Strong understanding of credit and lending workflows, client challenges, and capability gaps across business, commercial, and corporate banking environments
  • Expertise authoring thought leadership articles, whitepapers, and presenting at industry events, webinars, and trade shows
  • Strong consultative communication skills and the ability to mentor generalist Learning Partners and sales colleagues
  • Comfort navigating complex organizations, building internal champions, and coordinating cross-functional delivery

Important Note for Applicants:

We are specifically seeking candidates with strong subject matter expertise in credit and lending, ideally gained through experience in business banking, commercial lending, corporate banking, credit training, or related financial services environments.

Why Choose Fitch:

  • Hybrid Work Environment: 3 days per week in the Toronto office; 2 days remote
  • A Culture of Learning & Mobility: Dedicated trainings, leadership development and mentorship programs designed to ensure that your time at Fitch will be a continuous learning opportunity
  • Investing in Your Future: Retirement planning and tuition reimbursement programs that empower you to achieve your short and long-term goals
  • Promoting Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive healthcare offerings that enable physical, mental, financial, social, and occupational wellbeing
  • Supportive Parenting Policies: Family-friendly policies, including a generous global parental leave plan, designed to help you balance career and family life effectively
  • Inclusive Work Environment: A collaborative workplace where all voices are valued, with Employee Resource Groups that unite and empower our colleagues around the globe
  • Dedication to Giving Back: Paid volunteer days, matched funding for donations and ample opportunities to volunteer in your community

Fitch is committed to providing global securities markets with objective, timely, independent and forward-looking credit opinions. To protect Fitch’s credibility and reputation, our employees must take every precaution to avoid conflicts of interest or any appearance of a conflict of interest. Should you be successful in the recruitment process at Fitch you will be asked to declare any securities holdings and other potential conflicts prior to commencing employment. For Toronto: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between CAD 145,000 and CAD 165,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
