Salary range (but not limited to):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We are looking for a Property Claims Specialist to join our growing team!
What you'll do here:
Evaluate property damage and evaluate replacement or restoration requirements including direct and in-person contact with insured, claimants, and service providers.
Prepare repair estimates using an automated appraisal system.
Obtains from contractors repair cost agreements or quotations on restoration/replacement.
Monitors and update labour and material costs to be paid within their region.
Compose summary reports on Rely vendor performance and, if necessary, formulates recommendations for further action.
Maintain effective communication channels with claims departments.
Coaches field representatives and adjusters when required.
Establish and maintain productive business relationships with contractors and other service providers.
Assist in the screening and review of contractors’ performance to meet professional and corporate standards.
Manage and maintain automated appraisal system queue(s) and audit functions.
What you bring to the table:
College Diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
A minimum of 3 years related experience
High-level knowledge of the Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating software.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction and repair procedures
Effective verbal communication skills with experience in interviewing, coaching and dealing with clients
Good written communication skills to draft claims reports
Computer proficient
