Location:The Lung Health Foundation is based in Toronto and operates in a hybrid model in which staff are required to work at the office a minimum of two days each week with occasional travel within Ontario and across Canada as required.
Salary range:$65000 - $69000
Notes: This is a temporary 12-month contract position. This role does not include employee benefits. The selected candidate may choose between receiving 6% vacation pay or 15 days of paid vacation.

POSITION OVERVIEWThe Lung Health Foundation is seeking a collaborative and equity-driven
Lead Health Promotion (Immunization) to support the delivery of respiratory and immunization-focused initiatives. Reporting to the
Senior Manager Health Promotion & Programs this role will contribute to the design implementation and evaluation of programs that promote vaccine awareness confidence and uptake particularly as they relate to respiratory health outcomes.This role is primarily focused on supporting program delivery and coordination working closely with senior team members and partners to execute on established priorities. The Lead will play an important role in ensuring programs are well-organized evidence-informed and responsive to community needs while contributing to broader team objectives.The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and communication skills an ability to work collaboratively across teams and an interest in advancing public health through evidence-based approaches.Key areas of focus include:
- Supporting the delivery of respiratory immunization-related health promotion programs
- Contributing to vaccine confidence initiatives through education and outreach activities
- Assisting with stakeholder engagement and coordination to inform program implementation
- Supporting program evaluation knowledge translation and continuous quality improvement efforts
- Applying an equity lens across all program activities.
Program Leadership & Delivery- Support the implementation and day-to-day coordination of respiratory immunization health promotion programs (e.g. influenza COVID-19 RSV pneumococcal) across Ontario and nationally
- Assist with program planning timelines and tracking of deliverables to ensure alignment with public health guidance and seasonal priorities
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts by supporting updates to program materials ensuring content is accurate evidence-informed and aligned with best practices
- Support coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders including contributing to inputs for CDA and INESSS processes and related submissions
- Assist in the development and delivery of educational sessions and resources for diverse audiences including healthcare providers and community organizations
- Support the preparation of presentations reports and knowledge translation materials to communicate program activities outcomes and insights related to respiratory health and prevention
Community Engagement & Capacity Building- Support the development and implementation of outreach and engagement strategies to increase awareness confidence and uptake of respiratory immunizations (e.g. influenza COVID-19 RSV pneumococcal)
- Assist with community engagement activities including supporting outreach to populations disproportionately impacted by respiratory illness and barriers to immunization using culturally safe and community-informed approaches
- Support the coordination and delivery of communities of practice and knowledge-sharing activities to promote best practices and enable collaboration across partners
- Assist in creating and disseminating accessible culturally relevant content (e.g. newsletters digital campaigns resource hubs) that supports respiratory immunization awareness and informed decision-making
Outreach & Partnerships- Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with public health units healthcare providers community organizations and system partners to advance respiratory immunization priorities (e.g. influenza COVID-19 RSV pneumococcal)
- Assist in identifying opportunities to expand program reach and impact including supporting research on potential collaborations and funding opportunities
- Support the planning and execution of outreach activities campaigns and events that promote respiratory immunization uptake and align with seasonal and population health priorities
- Assist with the preparation of grant applications proposals and conference submissions to support program growth and sustainability

- Ensure culturally safe inclusive and accessible programs for equity-deserving populations.
- Champion principles of co-design and person-centeredness
- Incorporate anti-oppression frameworks and the social determinants of health into program planning.
Lung Health Foundation Champion- Contribute to additional programs or initiatives based on emerging priorities
- Help grow and maintain LHFs network of clinical and community partners
- Support cross-functional duties aligned with organizational goals
- Assist in external communications and advocacy efforts including media engagement in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team
QUALIFICATIONS- A masters degree in public health health sciences life sciences or a related field is required.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in:
- Health promotion and/or public health program design and delivery
- Immunization infectious disease prevention or respiratory health initiatives
- Stakeholder engagement partnership development and/or co-design approaches
- Demonstrated experience working with or within public health systems primary care or community-based health settings.
- Strong understanding of respiratory immunization including vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases (e.g. influenza COVID-19 RSV pneumococcal) vaccine confidence and barriers to uptake.
- Experience applying evidence-based practice quality improvement methodologies and data-informed decision-making in program development and evaluation is an asset.
- Knowledge of health equity social determinants of health and culturally responsive approaches to care and program design.
- Fluency in French is considered an asset.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) evaluation platforms or survey software is an asset.
- Strong organizational project management and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
