Position: Full Time Security Team Lead
Site: Seneca Polytechnic - York Campus
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Rotating Continental (0630 - 1830 / 1830 -0630)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate Security Guard activities in academic buildings, residence, and event spaces
- Cross-campus learning and collaboration with York U partners
- Assign and monitor patrols, access control, and incident response
- Foster cross-functional teamwork with York Security and campus partners
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely, accurate reporting
- Provide frontline support during special events, guest speakers, and high-profile campus activities
- Mentor new staff and deliver in-service training
- Ensure adherence to Seneca and York U security policies
- Support a welcoming and inclusive team culture

Qualifications
- Legally Authorized to Work in Canada
- Ontario Security Guard License
- First Aid/CPR • Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude
- Ability to handle fast-paced, diverse campus demands
- Prior post-secondary or healthcare security experience an asset
- Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus
- Must not be a current Seneca student at Newnham
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
