This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence at the Toronto or client office a minimum of 4 days per week (subject to change).
We’re seeking a Frontend-focused Full Stack Developer to design and scale data-driven systems that power advanced analytics, machine learning, and strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in shaping our next-generation trading decisioning and risk management platform, and lead by example in applying sound architectural thinking, engineering rigor, and technical mentorship. This role combines Full stack development and MLOps, offering a unique opportunity to work across entire Data and ML pipeline.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Hands-On Development: Design, build, and review scalable web applications and micro services that backs up analytics platforms and ML systems. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership, with significant time doing coding.
• Set Technical Direction: Define and promote best practices in Full stack development. Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption to drive innovation.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with ML Engineers, data engineers, business leaders, and IT teams to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Deliver at Scale: Ensure projects are executed with high quality, on time, and aligned with business goals. Proactively identify risks and enforce compliance standards, especially around data governance and security.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 5+ years of front-end expertise in:
- Advanced React: strong fundamentals, state management, performance optimization
- Modern UI development: Tailwind CSS and Shadcn/UI for maintainable, scalable interfaces.
- Component design systems: Building reusable, scalable UI libraries.
- Storybook: Isolated component development and documentation.
• 5+ years designing/developing micro-service architectures
• Expertise in web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs)
• Extensive cloud-native experience (AWS/Azure) with services like Lambda, ECS, or Azure Functions
• Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Git, and automation tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s/PhD preferred)
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have:
• Experience in data warehouses and lakehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Databricks) and vector databases (PGVector, Opensearch)
• Apache Airflow for data/ML workflow orchestration
• Good understanding of LLMs and RAG based applications
