Job description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About the team and the role:
The Security Engineering team at eBay protects our platforms, customers, and data by building and operating scalable, modern security capabilities. We partner closely with product, engineering, and operations teams across the company to reduce risk while enabling innovation and great customer experiences.
As a Technical Product Manager focused on AI-driven vulnerability management, you will lead the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle discovery, triage, prioritization, and remediation using AI-powered tools and automation to improve accuracy and reduce mean time to remediation (MTTR). In this senior-level role, you will define and drive the product roadmap for our vulnerability management program, work across organizations to align on priorities, and communicate clear, business-aligned risk insights to leadership.

What you will accomplish:
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for AI/ML-driven vulnerability management, improving detection quality, reducing false positives, and shortening MTTR across eBay’s platforms.
  • Coordinate the full vulnerability lifecycle from intake and triage through prioritization and remediation ensuring critical issues are addressed quickly and systematically.
  • Partner with security architects, platform engineers, developers, and operations teams to embed secure design and vulnerability considerations into next-generation platforms and services.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, technical engineers, developers, and product managers to keep vulnerability initiatives on track, aligned to business priorities, and measurable in their impact.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated dashboards and reporting that provide leadership with clear, actionable, business-aligned risk metrics and trends.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, piloting new AI tools and approaches, and sharing best practices that advance eBay’s overall security posture.

What you will bring:
  • Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or technical program/project management, with a proven track record leading complex cross-organizational security initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or general AI tools to vulnerability management problems such as detection, triage, prioritization, and remediation workflows.
  • Strong familiarity with common security and workflow tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Wiz, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical risk into clear narratives and documentation for both technical and executive audiences, including dashboards and written reports.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in security operations or closely related domains, with strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, and influence.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, working across time zones and teams, with flexibility to support critical security events as needed.
