Your Impact
- Lead and execute comprehensive government relations strategies that advance WSP’s business objectives across municipal, provincial, and federal governments.
- Build and maintain high‑impact relationships with legislators, senior government officials, policy‑makers, and key external stakeholders.
- Partner with regional and business leaders to align public affairs initiatives with strategic growth priorities.
- Monitor, analyse, and proactively respond to legislative and regulatory developments affecting WSP’s operations.
- Represent WSP within industry associations and advocacy groups to strengthen influence and collective impact.
- Provide strategic insights and guidance to commercial and risk management teams on public policy considerations.
- Oversee and direct external government relations firms to ensure alignment with WSP’s objectives and values.
- Support WSP’s international ambitions by engaging with Canadian and foreign embassies and consulates.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 15+ years of progressive experience in public policy, government relations, or regulatory affairs, including senior leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of legislative and regulatory processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to influence policy outcomes and manage complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong strategic mindset with experience aligning public affairs initiatives to business objectives.
- Analytical, data‑driven approach to synthesising complex information and advising leadership.
- Private‑sector experience and a collaborative leadership style.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
Compensation
Starting at: $195,980
