OBJECTIVE:
The Operations Specialist’s focus is supporting Metal Supermarkets' store network growth in North America. The role encompasses all the aspects of the franchise onboarding process which include set-up, development and training for new store openings. Responsibilities will also include working directly with our corporate locations’ management teams and departments as well as our Franchised locations. The Operations Specialist reports to the Director, New Store and Transfer Success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provides training and guidance supporting successful store openings and ongoing operations
- Communicates with Metal Supermarkets Head Office staff providing regular reports, coordinating activities and communicating needs and performance levels of assigned stores
- Develop ongoing training initiatives and methods of operations, that will then be effectively implemented and communicated to the franchise store staff
- Identifying and addressing franchise store challenges with relevant and appropriate support, urgency and precision
- Recommends key performance indicators to evaluate store results
- Support profitable partnership relationships and ensure Franchisees/Corporate Managers comply with standards and best practices
- Assist Franchisees/Corporate Managers to achieve success
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possesses a minimum of 3 – 5 years of Operations/Field Management/Training experience in a multi-unit environment.
- Well organized and possesses a demonstrated ability to plan and structure responsibilities employing excellent time management skills. Project management skills an asset.
- Must be a good leader who is able to bring rigor and structure to their work.
- Self-motivated with proven leadership abilities; a team player who is flexible and detail oriented, and who adapts well to evolving environments and responsibilities.
- A committed and hardworking individual who possesses strong ethics and high standards with respect to customer service and the customer experience in general.
- Proficiency in all common computer applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and ERP systems
- Must be comfortable with travel up to 25-50% of the time and have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be comfortable working within a processing environment where some physicality is needed to move heavy materials
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
