Job descriptionField Service Appliance Technician Swift Clean Handyman is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled, customer-focused Field Service Appliance Technician to diagnose, repair, and install major residential appliances across our local service area. What you’ll do Diagnose, repair, and test major home appliances (refrigerators, freezers, ranges/ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, microwaves, and ventilation) Perform new installs, swaps, maintenance, and warranty/non-warranty service in customers’ homes Use diagnostic tools (multimeter, gauges) and service manuals to identify root causes and confirm full operation Source, order, and manage parts; maintain accurate truck/parts inventory Document work orders, photos, and notes in a mobile app; generate clear estimates and invoices Educate customers on use and care, set expectations, and deliver a friendly, professional experience Follow safety procedures and applicable codes; handle refrigerants and electrical safely Coordinate daily route, communicate ETA updates, and meet first‑time‑fix and response targets What you bring Experience repairing residential appliances in the field (2+ years preferred; strong trainees considered) Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; able to read schematics and service literature Comfort using a smartphone/tablet for dispatch, parts lookup, and documentation Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Ability to lift and maneuver 50–75 lbs with proper technique/assistance and work in tight spaces Strong customer service, punctuality, and communication skills Legally authorized to work in Canada and able to pass background checks Bonus points Sealed system experience (compressors, evaporators, leak detection, brazing) EPA 608, ODP, or equivalent refrigerant certification Gas appliance certification and experience with gas ranges/dryers What we offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with performance bonuses Overtime opportunities and paid training/certifications Health and dental benefits (company plan eligibility varies by role/status) mileage reimbursement (role dependent), fuel card, and dispatch from home Schedule and travel Full-time, typically Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays or on‑call rotations Service within a local radius; daily routing to minimize drive time Why you’ll love working here Steady workflow with organized dispatch and parts support Respectful, safety‑first culture with technicians’ input valued Opportunity to grow your skills and earnings with a supportive team Equal opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer.
