Job Summary

The Solutions Lead Developer will design, build, and maintain advanced trading applications and market data platforms that support investment operations and business objectives. This role combines strong technical expertise with investment domain knowledge to connect technology solutions with business strategy, focusing on accelerating delivery and fostering collaboration.

The Solutions Lead Developer will work closely with investment teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, while partnering with the existing development team to deliver platform enhancements at increased velocity. They will bring prior experience building trading and investment applications, providing domain expertise that strengthens alignment between technology capabilities and trading operations. This position is technically focused and delivery-oriented, directly enabling business value through faster feature development, improved trading workflows, and knowledge transfer that scales team impact.

What You Will Do

Technical Leadership & Development

• Lead advanced .NET development for complex trading workflows, market data processing, and execution systems
• Strong background in data analysis, modeling and ETL/ELT development in large-scale environments
• Design and implement solutions for trading workflows and other trading operations
• Build and maintain integrations with market data platforms including Bloomberg and other data sources
• Develop, enhance and maintain Python jobs that support investment operations
• Own technical architecture decisions for trading platform components
• Integrate data visualization tools with data sources for real-time analytics
• Drive engineering best practices and establish patterns that improve code quality and maintainability
• Proactively identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve system performance
• Lead technology upgrades and modernization efforts across the platform

Investment Domain & Business Partnership

• Apply deep understanding of trading operations, investment workflows, and financial markets to inform technical decisions
• Collaborate directly with investment teams to gather requirements and understand trading strategies
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and solutions, applying both development and business analysis skills.
• Bridge communication between technical implementation details and investment strategy objectives
• Provide domain context that accelerates feature delivery and reduces requirement ambiguity
• Support operational readiness for new projects and regulatory requirements

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Partner with existing developers to enable parallel workstreams and faster delivery
• Transfer domain knowledge and engineering best practices to the broader team
• Mentor team members on trading technology patterns and investment application design
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning sessions
• Coordinate with other engineering teams within the Trading Platform portfolio
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture that empowers continuous improvement

What You Bring

• 15+ years of industry experience in software development with 5+ years of experience building trading, investment, or financial services applications
• Advanced programming skills in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework and Java
• Proficient in data analysis, modeling and ETL/ELT development in large-scale environment using Python and SQL
• Familiar with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for reporting and insights
• Hands-on experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Snowflake
• Experience with market data platforms and real-time data processing
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying and managing data solutions
• Skilled in modern development tools and practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Strong collaboration skills with experience partnering across technical teams and business stakeholders
• Track record of delivering high-quality software in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to bridge technical and business conversations
