Step into a leadership role where your expertise shapes Canada’s most complex energy and heavy industrial projects. As Project Director, you’ll lead Project Managers, Area Managers, Engineering Managers, and project engineers—guiding stakeholders with confidence and clarity. You'll ideally bring proven project management experience in mining and heavy industry, strong governance skills, and a talent for fostering new business opportunities. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our ERI portfolio and advancing client success.
Location: any of our Canadian offices. Ideal would be within the Greater Toronto Area or Sudbury in Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of multi-phase, complex mining and heavy industrial projects across Canada.
- Develop and implement Project Management Plans, including risk, safety, quality, and communication strategies.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and governance to ensure delivery on time and within scope.
- Mentor and guide engineering managers and project teams to achieve technical excellence and client satisfaction.
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Qualifications
- 20+ years of progressive project management experience in mining and heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven success managing EPCM projects and delivering on time and on budget.
- Engineering degree (P.Eng. designation preferred) or technical diploma; PMP certification an asset.
- Expertise in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools; bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
- A collaborative leader who thrives in complex, multidisciplinary environments.
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $177,000 to $234,400
MB & ON: $161,500 to $222,300
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $159,900 to $212,300
