Job description
A prominent and well-established law firm is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Attorney/Lawyer to join its team in Mississauga, ON. This role provides an opportunity to work on a diverse mix of files, deliver exceptional client service, and develop professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.Responsibilities:- Handle a variety of litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, contractual disagreements, and real estate-related cases.- Provide legal representation in construction-related litigation, asset recovery, and debt collection matters.- Manage cases involving occupiers' liability claims, negligence, and insurance coverage opinions.- Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents with precision and attention to detail.- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive case preparation and strategic decision-making.- Offer expert advice to clients while maintaining a high standard of client service.- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration as required.- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.- Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge to enhance overall team performance.- A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation.- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and applicable laws.- Proven ability to handle complex legal cases independently and as part of a team.- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.- Proficiency in legal research and drafting court documentation.- Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining confidentiality.- Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
