About the team and role:
eBay operates one of the most sophisticated SEO programs in the world, powered by unmatched inventory breadth and structured marketplace data. We believe there is substantial opportunity to further accelerate top-of-funnel user acquisition by expanding into new opportunity spaces, deepening technical excellence, and building a forward-looking AI-native search strategy. This is a high-impact Director of Product Management role at the intersection of technical SEO, AI-driven discovery, product strategy, and cross-functional execution.
What you will accomplish:
You will develop and implement a forward-looking SEO strategy to meaningfully grow top-of-funnel user acquisition
Identify unexplored keyword, content, and indexation opportunities across eBay’s massive supply base
Lead technical SEO initiatives spanning site architecture, internal linking, crawl efficiency, schema markup, index health & more
Define eBay’s role in AI-driven answer ecosystems by building and leading eBay’s AEO Strategy
Develop frameworks for optimizing structured data, content signals, and entity authority for LLM discoverability
Ensure strong presence within:
Google AI Overview
ChatGPT
Gemini
Emerging AI search and answer platforms
Build strategies for featured snippets, conversational answers, and generative summaries
Establish measurement systems to track visibility and traffic impact from AI answer engines
Partner with brand, content, and structured data teams to strengthen eBay’s entity authority and knowledge graph presence
Build and mentor a high-performing team of global SEO product managers, data scientists and analysts
What You Will Bring:
10+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, or search strategy, 4+ years leading large-scale SEO programs at enterprise or marketplace companies
Deep expertise in technical SEO at scale (large site architecture, programmatic SEO, structured data, crawl optimization)
Experience optimizing for:
Featured snippets
Voice search
Conversational interfaces
AI answer surfaces
Strong analytical proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, Conductor, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and emerging AI visibility tools
