Position Summary As Senior Product Manager at Haventree Bank, you will be at the forefront of transforming our Lending products, driving the development of our digital banking platform and optimizing the end-to-end client acquisition and servicing journey. You will play a pivotal role in driving growth within our mortgage portfolio while improving operational efficiency and delivering scalable, customer-centric solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep lending product management experience, strong technical acumen, and a proven track record of launching complex, scalable digital products. This role directly contributes to Haventree Bank’s strategic plan and supports the organization’s long-term growth and profitability.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Support the development and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for the mortgage lending portfolio
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure alignment between product initiatives, digital banking platform, and the bank’s overall strategic objectives
  • Contribute to strategic planning to enhance portfolio performance and profitability

Digital Lending Product Development & Innovation

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of Digital Banking - lending capabilities, including:
  • New customer acquisition features such as pre-qualification, conditional approvals, and marketplace lead integrations
  • Enhanced self-service capabilities (loan reviews, servicing requests, chatbot, straight-through renewals)
  • Cross-sell and up-sell functionality and sales/servicing optimization tools
  • Ensure all servicing functions and lending products meet business objectives while complying with regulatory and policy requirements
  • Own the designated project execution stream, including conducting research, discovery, provide requirements, testing, backlog management, feature and product launch while gathering feedback and prioritizing improvements

Platform & Launch Readiness (LOS/LMS)

  • Support organizational readiness for Loan Origination System (LOS) and Loan Management System (LMS) implementations and transitions, including the launch of new innovative loan products
  • Lead the document and support the implementation of broker compensation structures and loyalty program requirements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Prepare and deliver product launch communications and materials
  • Facilitate training, documentation updates, and change management to ensure successful rollout and adoption

Mortgage Portfolio Management

  • Provide competitive pricing update and market insights to support sales and pricing strategy
  • Lead the charge on internal and market research, business case development for strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and resource allocation as well contributing with engineering team on prioritizing product backlog and testing
  • Identify and execute strategic opportunities to enhance Lending product features across the loan lifecycle, improve end-to-end customer experience, increase operational efficiency and profitability
  • Provide ongoing support for digital product enhancements, feature updates, and maintenance
  • Ensure product compliance with applicable regulations
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed to drive strategic growth of the organization, while effectively mitigating risk

Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

  • Lead the discussions and facilitate requirements gathering with senior leadership to optimize end-to-end lending journey while crafting compelling business cases to support strategy initiatives
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Operations, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Marketing to drive successful product delivery
  • Engage with internal/external partners to integrate cutting-edge technologies and solutions into our mortgage solution
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Compliance, Legal, Sales, Marketing) to drive successful product development and portfolio growth

Qualifications & Experience

Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Experience developing and launching scalable financial or digital products
  • Solid understanding of mortgage lending systems, digital client portal, digital lending solutions, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong technical acumen; able to write detailed requirements and contribute to architectural and API discussions
  • Proficient in writing business requirements, user stories, and leading testing; experienced with Miro, Confluence, and Jira
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; advanced Excel skills, SQL an asset
  • Client-focused with a strong sense of ownership and execution ("get it done" attitude)
  • Innovative problem solver with strong product intuition and ability to navigate complex business challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate complex business and technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and collaborate across functions
  • Self-directed, resourceful team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments; able to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities
