Responsibilities

Provide senior technical expertise, project leadership and coordination of activities in the development, implementation and maintenance of a diverse range of cost effective I&IT solutions.

Provide technical advice to clients and leverage OPS I&IT solutions and applications to meet program/service goals and objectives ensuring efficiency

General Skills

• Provides specialized technical expertise in the overall analysis of the design and architecture of systems solutions.
• Ability to evaluate recommendations and ensures all recommended solutions for improvement are congruent with the project goals and objectives
• Identifies short and long-term project goals/objectives, and as a senior technical expert, defines and identifies program and service delivery requirements in support of the development and/or acquisition of client applications
• Leads the analysis, development and documentation of design and architecture of systems solutions.
• Leads the development of testing, integration and implementation of systems solutions into the clients applications
• Guides the feasibility studies and cost effective analyses of proposed client I&IT initiatives, ensures all studies and analyses are documented
• Leads the technical aspects of projects related to the development and/or acquisition of a diverse range of client applications through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes planning, scheduling and estimating resources, providing technical expertise, co‑ordination, monitoring progress and providing management with project status updates
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, translating business documents into technical specifications
• Experience leading development/support teams supporting multi‑dimensional and relational databases and their applications for effective planning, budgeting, strategizing and forecasting procedures
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex applications utilizing relational and multi-dimensional databases
• Ability to provide implementation and post implementation support as required
• Oversees the research and evaluation of the technical components in the acquisition of software, hardware, technology, systems and products
• Recommends and directs the measurement and improvement of tools, techniques, standards and performance criteria to control the quality of application development initiatives
• Provides coaching and direction to junior analysts throughout the project, related to the development and/or acquisition of a diverse range of client applications through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies
• Knowledge and experience with middleware and gateways
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
• Experience with development/maintenance of documentation as per Methodology
• Good working knowledge of Dimensions and Facts
• Knowledge of multidimensional structures (cubes)
• Ability to gather, review and provide feedback to business requirements

Note: This is a hybrid position , where individuals must have a sufficient internet connection to maintain a VPN connection during work hours. On site meetings may be required at 255 Ontario, Milton, but will not exceed 3 days per week.

Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Systems Analyst with Quality Control experience

Release and Environment Coordination (25%)

• Demonstrated experience with gathering, documenting, and analyzing the current business processes and requirements at the system and infrastructure level and identify gaps
• Demonstrated experience providing clarification to designers, developers, and testers at various stages of Software
• Demonstrated experience supporting change management processes within the agreed scope, schedule, and project expectations
• Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure that any changes or enhancements are fully regression tested and validated
• Demonstrated experience documenting code changes as per existing documentation standards;
• Demonstrated experience performing unit testing of code
• Demonstrated experience working with design team to clarify, suggest, and recommend implementation approach
• Demonstrated experience working with testers to identify the source of defects and resolve issues
• Demonstrated experience performing daily tracking, reporting and facilitating resolution of issues and risks for all project activities

Technical Skills (25%)

• Knowledge of VB.NET , platform (C#, ASP. NET, java applets .NET CORE) in Visual Studio 2019, HTML, CSS, Jquery, other emerging web technologies and deployment models to implement application enhancements as per design documents
• Knowledge of Oracle 11.x, 12.x, 19c database objects and scripting
• Knowledge of Crystal 2020 reports development
• Knowledge of Atlassian server installation and configuration (JIRA, Confluence and related supporting application and plugins)
• Knowledge of Alfresco CMS server installation, configuration, and integration

QA Skills (15%)

• Demonstrated experience with documenting test scenarios, testing results, testing artifacts and tickets
• Demonstrated experience in writing test scripts, test cases and test scenarios, testing web applications and reporting defects
• Demonstrated experience with the use of various types of software testing and testing methodologies in manual and automated testing
• Demonstrated experience with testing tools such as JIRA testbed, Quick Test pro v10.0 and HP quality Center to create automated test scripts
• Demonstrated experience identifying data quality issues

Communication Skills (5%)

• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Proven knowledge and experience in written and oral communication with a large number of stakeholders
• Participate in planning activities; complete all required change request assessment tasks; participate in release management activities
• Demonstrate ability to work with ambiguous and conflicting requirements and finding pragmatic solution which can be acceptable to all stakeholders
