Client Engineering (Mobile & Web) is looking for a Software Architect who will be a key player in architecting the future technology road map for our native Android and iOS applications that deliver secure, personalized, and high‑performing experiences to millions of users. This candidate will work closely with product partners, business and other Scotia technology teams to provide mobile‑first solution design and ensure seamless integration with backend systems and cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in mobile development, cloud‑native systems, security, and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end solutions across Android and iOS applications, integrated with backend and cloud systems.
• Design architectural solutions and roadmaps that are aligned to business and technology strategy, enterprise standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with multiple teams bank‑wide on architecture design and follow Bank’s Architecture Review Board governance processes.
• Present solution design in a way that establishes trust relationships, persuades stakeholders and achieves understanding and consensus at all levels.
• Maintain a sharp focus on system security and reliability while developing architecture designs for products and services.
• Participate in cross‑functional solutioning discussions and drive architectural decisions effectively.
• Develop and maintain technology target state and roadmap for application portfolios in collaboration with business leads, chief architect and application portfolio owners.
• Champion mobile development best practices, performance, and platform‑specific capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the Client Engineering team.
