Scrawlr is a company building a software platform and series of products dedicated to enabling alternative forms of communication layered on existing internet content, together with delivering superior monetization flexibility and content ownership for content generators. We have recently completed our internal beta and are preparing for our external beta. We are looking forward to bringing on additional like-minded individuals to assist in product launch. Role Overview:
We are looking for Senior Front-end Software Engineer for one of our portfolio companies. As a key member of our front-end development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces.
Your role will include:
- Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to translate and implement innovative product functionality.
- Engage proactively in collaborative planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
- Actively seek opportunities to expand your own skill set, staying informed about emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in frontend development.
- Contribute to a continuous learning environment within the team by encouraging knowledge sharing sessions, workshops, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Support junior developers in their professional growth by offering mentorship, sharing insights, and contributing to an atmosphere that encourages curiosity and skill enhancement.
Required Skills or Experience
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum five (5) years working as a Senior Developer
- Four (4) years of experience working with React
- Excellent understanding of web page performance, debugging, and best practices
- JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS proficiency
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility concepts
- Experience with reactive state management concepts
- Experiences with automated tests
- Experience with module bundler systems and related web tooling concepts
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Experience leading small to midsize multi product teams with demonstrated ability to mentor, grow team members as well as provide technical guidance and oversight on implementation direction
- Code review experience
Nice to Have Skills or Experience
- Single Page Application project experience
- Chrome/Firefox extension development experience
- Experience working in start-up environments
- Knowledge of BEM methodology in medium to large scale codebases.
- GitHub profile with sample projects you would like to showcase
Compensation
- 110k-140k per annum plus an options grant commensurate with capacity for contribution to the team
