Job: Research Analyst, In-Store Audio – Stingray Advertising

On the supply side, Stingray Advertising helps major retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, CVS, Walgreens and many more unlock a new revenue stream by enabling turnkey audio advertising in thousands of their physical store locations.

The connective tissue between our data, our teams, our retailers and our clients is the Research & Insights team that powers the connections, turning complex data into clear and compelling stories. We are looking for a Research Analyst based in the G.T.A. who can be that connective tissue, using deep data analysis to match our in-store audio network with our clients’ target audiences.

In this role, you are more than an analyst; you are a strategist and a storyteller. You will dive into rich datasets to uncover the “who, what, and why” behind our listener behavior. Your insights will directly empower our sales team to build undeniable, data-driven cases for clients, proving that our network is the most effective way to reach their desired consumers.

*This position may also be based in Montreal, QC.

Your day-to-day

• Synthesize & Analyze: Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources (including Circana, Nielsen, Leger etc.) to build a comprehensive understanding of our retailers shoppers.
• Translate & Storytell: Transform complex data and statistical findings into clear, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations for the sales team and external clients.
• Client Matching: Develop and refine data-driven models that identify the strongest alignment between our listener profiles and the target consumers of prospective clients.
• Create Sales Tools: Design and build impactful sales materials, including reports, presentations, and data visualizations, that vividly illustrate the value proposition of our audio network.
• Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to expert on audience data, providing strategic guidance and insights that inform sales strategy and client proposals.

Your qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, media planning, digital marketing, or marketing strategy roles.
• Direct experience with CPG or retail analytics and syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Nielsen).
• Strong analytical skills in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies; you can translate insights into action.
• Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with data visualization tools (like Tableau or Power BI) is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
• Degree or post-grad certification in Media, Advertising, or a related field is an asset.
• Proficiency in French is an asset
