Job description

Description

You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.

The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

Who We Are

At Fidelity, we’ve been helping Canadian investors build better financial futures for over 35 years. We offer individuals and institutions a range of trusted investment portfolios and services - and we’re constantly seeking to find new and better ways to help our clients. As a privately owned company, we boldly embrace innovation in all areas as we continue to grow our business into the future.

Working with us means you’ll be part of a diverse and dedicated group of people who make a real difference for our clients and communities every day. You’ll have a wide range of opportunities to grow and develop your career in an inclusive environment where you’ll feel valued and supported to be your best - both personally and professionally.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

The Social Media Analyst, is the sharp analytical mind behind Fidelity Canada’s social media program. The role turns mountains of data into clear and concise stories that sharpen Fidelity Canada’s editorial instincts. The work undertaken in this role will demonstrate the business impact of Fidelity Canada’s social media efforts and optimize future strategies.

  • You will lead Fidelity Canada’s organic social media measurement and analytics program.
  • You will continuously create, monitor, and analyze, various data sets to discover new insights and track progress towards KPIs and annual business goals.
  • You will support administrative efforts across the social media program, maintaining/updating policy documents, adjusting social listening techniques, and developing presentation materials that support strategic decision-making.
  • You will collaborate and develop strong relationships with colleagues across teams, departments, and external partners to support strategic priorities (e.g. Advanced Analytics, Marketing, Finance).
  • You will support the implementation of your data-led insights, working with social media community managers to enact change.

What We Are Looking For:

  • University degree, preferably in Data Analytics, Communications, Marketing, Business, related field, or equivalent working experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience analyzing organic social performance across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Proven ability to build dashboards and reporting frameworks using tools like Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Power BI, or native analytics suites.
  • Experience developing measurable KPIs for social programs and tying them back to broader business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and compelling insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating closely with editorial, content, data analytics, marketing, and finance teams to inform strategy through data.
  • Experience working in the Investment industry is a nice to have.

The Expertise You Bring:

  • A data-first mindset paired with the curiosity to look beyond the numbers to uncover patterns, opportunities, and stories.
  • Strong communication skills—capable of distilling analytics into language that inspires decision making across teams.
  • Expert attention to detail, with immaculate accuracy in reporting and a disciplined approach to methodology.
  • Comfort working autonomously while confidently presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve, and creativity meets analytics.
  • Passion for social media trends, platform shifts, user behavior, and the ever‑changing dynamics of digital engagement.

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
