Job description

Our client,is seeking an experienced, highly collaborative Intermediate Scrum Master with dual Business Analyst expertise to join their digital delivery team.

In this hands-on Agile leadership role, you will facilitate end-to-end Scrum ceremonies, mentor cross-functional squads, and bridge the gap between software development and operations within a modern DevOps environment. Serving as a servant leader, you will partner closely with Product Owners to groom backlogs, gather and translate business requirements into actionable user stories, and remove delivery impediments. Operating on-site in a fast-paced environment, you will drive process modeling, perform gap analysis, track Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts), and ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture and continuous delivery standards.

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Full 1-Year Engagement)

Work Arrangement: On-site (5 days per week on-site at the corporate office)

Responsibilities
Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to core Scrum principles.

Servant Leadership & Impediment Removal: Proactively identify, track, and remove team blockers, shield the team from external distractions, and foster a psychologically safe, high-performing squad culture.

Backlog Management & Requirements Engineering: Partner closely with Product Owners to elicit business requirements, decompose epics, author user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and prioritize the product backlog.

Process Modeling & Gap Analysis: Model current-state and future-state business workflows using tools like BPMN, conducting gap analyses to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Agile Metrics & Reporting: Capture, analyze, and communicate team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown/burnup charts) to drive predictable delivery and continuous refinement.

Stakeholder & Team Alignment: Mediate conflicts, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain alignment between development, operations, QA, and business leaders.

Standards & Training: Prepare training materials and coach teams on Agile frameworks, enterprise delivery guidelines, and DevOps best practices.



Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Required Certification: Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential or equivalent recognized Agile certification (e.g., PSM I, PMI-ACP).

Agile & BA Expertise: 5+ years of combined experience operating as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst in enterprise technology environments.

DevOps Environment Experience: Demonstrated experience bridging the gap between development and operations teams within a DevOps setting.

DevOps Tooling Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Process Mapping & Analysis: Strong proficiency in business process modeling (BPMN, flow diagrams), requirements documentation, and user story authoring.

Soft Skills & Leadership: Strong servant leadership, workshop facilitation, conflict mediation, and verbal/written communication skills.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Advanced Agile certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Agile Coach, or PMI-ACP.

Hands-on familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Prior background in software development or engineering.

Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or other highly regulated enterprise sectors.
