Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The UA role provides ongoing support and service to internal and external customers. You will support the Underwriting team’s activities in a way that enhances the organization’s profitable growth. You will collaborate with underwriters and brokers to improve the overall service delivery and connectivity between Berkley and the marketplace. You will manage the flow of data between stakeholders and ensure that we are pursuing continual improvement in all that we do. You will partner with Berkley team members from across the organization and will develop a broad understanding of how the company operates as a result.
Responsibilities:
You will play a central role on our Operations Team ensuring a high level of service for both our internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Triage incoming business submissions with strict adherence to clearance rules, accuracy and timeliness
- Perform policy administration tasks such as premium booking and policy issuance for new business, renewals and endorsements
- Multinational policy coordination and facilitation for outbound risks and coding and issuance for inbound risks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Characteristics of the successful candidate:
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills to multitask and meet tight timelines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically in Excel: ability to sort, filter, pivot and re-shape Excel data with ease), Power Automate and Power BI
- Basic to intermediate Adobe Acrobat skills
- Bilingual proficiency required (English & French)
- Interest in operations, data analysis, process optimization
- Previous experience working for an insurer or broker in the commercial property and casualty insurance market is an asset

Additional Company Details
• Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for this position; it does not reflect the maximum salary for the role over time. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills and experience demonstrated during the interview process.
