Are you efficient and organized, with a keen eye for detail?Help our department run effectively so we can provide the support our staff needto deliver the best possible patient care.

What you’ll do

Provide secretarial supportby typing a variety of technical and non-technical material such as medicalreports, policy and procedure updates, reference letters, on-call schedules,labels, correspondence, forms, and spreadsheets.

Draft, format and provide graphicenhancement to materials and forward to originator within establisheddepartmental timeframes.

  • Draft and sign routinecorrespondence.
  • Arrange meetings for medicalstaff by booking appointments, locating and booking meeting rooms, notifyingapplicable personnel and typing and circulating agenda(s) as required;

attend meetingsto record proceedings, preparing minutes and forwarding to committee members.

  • Set up and maintain filingsystems.
  • Provide support forstudent / resident teaching and evaluation.
  • Make travel arrangements fordesignated personnel by contacting travel agents, confirming travel dates,obtaining itineraries, compiling information and forwarding to designated stafffor approval.

What you bring

  • Grade 12graduation.
  • Knowledge ofmedical terminology.
  • Two (2) years'recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, trainingand experience.

You havedemonstrated ability to :

  • Keyboard style "margin-bottom : .0001pt; text-indent : style "font-family : Symbol; color : black">
  • Communicateeffectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Deal with others effectively.
  • Physically carryout the duties of the position.
  • Organize work.
  • Operate relatedequipment.
