Database Administrator

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join an enterprise Data Warehouse Technology group within Information Technology. In this mid-level hands-on contract role, you will work closely alongside our senior DBA to provide operational database administration, production support, data platform modernization assistance, and dedicated backup coverage across a growing database ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will ramp up quickly, absorb structured knowledge transfer, and take ownership of day-to-day operational stability and project-driven database activities.

Responsibilities
Production Support & Operations: Provide hands-on database administration, routine operational maintenance, and production support to maintain business-as-usual stability.

Knowledge Transfer: Participate in structured knowledge transfer to quickly absorb domain context and assume responsibility for regular database operations.

Platform Modernization: Support database migration, upgrades, performance tuning, and modernization efforts across on-premise and cloud data platform assets.

Backup & Reliability: Provide reliable backup coverage for key database operations, ensuring data availability, integrity, and operational resilience.

Project Delivery: Execute database-related project tasks in parallel with day-to-day maintenance without impacting production reliability.

Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Experience Level: 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (Intermediate/Mid-level).

- Technical Support: Proven track record in operational production support, technical troubleshooting, database maintenance, and issue resolution.

- Database Platforms: Strong working knowledge and administration experience across:

- SQL Server

- Oracle

- Snowflake

- Language Skills: Fluent English (written and spoken).

- Work Style: Ability to ramp up quickly, take initiative on operational tasks, and manage both standard support and change initiatives effectively.
