The position also includes oversight of shift scheduling, incident response, and the development of training programs to equip security officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage different scenarios.

The successful candidate will be expected to visit multiple locations each week to provide operational oversight, conduct training, and support security personnel.

  • Ensure all training content remains current by integrating new legislation, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and evolving security threats, update curriculum proactively in response to organizational and environmental changes

  • Collaborate with internal business units and external partners to design and deliver security awareness initiatives and educational programs that effectively address organizational needs and operational realities.

  • Support Management and Health & Safety by helping maintain the corporate Evacuation Program, including the delivery of training and practical instruction to enterprise evacuation teams to ensure effective emergency response.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through direct observation, participant feedback, performance assessments, and documented metrics; adjust content and instructional methods to continuously improve learning outcomes.

  • Translate complex concepts, policies, and emerging security challenges into clear, practical training that security officers can apply confidently in day‑to‑day operations.

Supervision:

  • Oversee day-to-day security operations across multiple shifts and sites, ensuring the safety of employees, guests, property, and assets.

  • Coordinate with the manager and other business units to ensure alignment of security measures with operations.

  • Lead, mentor, motivate and evaluate security team, addressing performance, disciplinary, or operational concerns.

  • Oversee shift schedules, coordinate coverage, and requirements.

  • Monitor, evaluate and approve incident reports, daily logs, and other officer activities.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact during incidents requiring security intervention, ensuring a timely and effective response.

  • Manage and direct staff during emergencies and non-emergencies, providing leadership and support to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
