Quality Analyst Technician – Audio Visual (AV) Systems

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Quality Analyst Technician to place at our client, a top Canadian Bank.

Client: A top Canadian Bank

Terms: 6 months, with possibility to extend

Key Responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC testing on AV systems including Crestron, Flex/MTR(s), SurfaceHubs, Dante, Biamp, QSYS, and related technologies.
• Test and troubleshoot conference room cameras (Poly, PTZ, OneBeyond, QSYS, Huddly, Logi) for performance, alignment, and integration.
• Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft Teams and Office 365 with AV systems.
• Conduct network compatibility testing (Wi‑Fi, PoE, firewall/security) and validate data flow, latency, and connection stability.
• Use QSYS for operational testing, configuration, and performance verification.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to resolve integration issues and optimize AV performance.
• Document test results, issues, and resolutions in a clear and repeatable format.
• Support AV system deployment and provide technical guidance during troubleshooting phases.
• Apply QA/QC best practices to ensure reliability, safety, and performance standards are met.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in AV technologies and systems.
• Proven experience with Crestron, QSYS, SurfaceHubs, Dante, Biamp, and related platforms.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and UC technologies.
• Experience working with conference room AV setups and camera systems.
• Familiarity with network technologies including Wi‑Fi, PoE, and firewall/security applications.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in fast‑paced, ad hoc environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Operational experience with QSYS in live environments.
• Exposure to trade floor AV systems, IPT, and digital delay technologies.
• Industry certification such as AQAV9000 or equivalent is a plus.

Snapshot of Ideal Candidates

• 1–2 candidates with deep expertise in Crestron and QSYS (Lead‑level preferred).
• All candidates must have strong QA/QC and AV troubleshooting experience.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across engineering and IT teams.
