Our client is one of the world's largest real estate developers, with a global presence spanning North America, Europe, and Asia and a track record of over 630 million square feet of development. Their Canadian operation is headquartered in the GTA and active across Western Canada, with a team that supports both operational assets and active construction projects – build‑to‑suit and speculative – for institutional capital partners.
The Canadian finance team is lean, experienced, and growing. This newly created Accountant role sits at the intersection of property accounting and construction/project accounting. You will report directly to the Controller and work closely with project teams, property managers, and operations on a daily basis.
The scope is broad and execution‑focused: you’ll own AR and AP deliverables, drive month‑end close, prepare capital partner reporting, and ensure HST filings are accurate and on time. If you’re a hands‑on accountant who wants real exposure to a complex, multi‑stakeholder development environment and you want to grow within a firm that is consistently increasing its footprint, this is a strong platform to do it from.
