  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships across the organization to support collaboration, alignment, and integration of enterprise risk and corporate strategic initiatives
  • Leads strategic and enterprise risk management initiatives by developing charters, roadmaps facilitating status reporting, and dashboards, consolidating updates for leaders, and supporting projects in establishing risk management frameworks including designing and operationalizing risk assessment criteria, key risk indicators, and assessing risk exposure and performance.
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to early career team members, including reviewing work products, setting quality standards, supporting professional development, and fostering a collaborative, high‑performance team environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of progressive experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives in corporate strategy, enterprise risk, transformation, or similarly ambiguous enterprise environments, with demonstrated accountability for end‑to‑end delivery
  • Strong project leadership capability, with a proven ability to independently structure work, define scope and governance, manage ambiguity, and drive initiatives from problem definition through executive‑level outcomes
  • Working knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts and practices, including strategic risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, with the ability to apply and adapt frameworks pragmatically to organizational context (deep ERM specialization is not required)
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems, evaluate options and trade‑offs, and develop clear, actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated leadership through influence, including the ability to guide teams, facilitate senior‑level discussions, and drive alignment across functions and stakeholders
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring early career team members, including reviewing work products, setting quality expectations, and supporting professional development within project teams
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders (Director, VP, Executive) and translate complex issues into clear, decision‑ready insights
  • Experience with electrical utility or other highly regulated industries preferred
  • Post‑graduate education and/or relevant professional certification in Business or Public Administration (e.g., MBA, MPA, PMP, P.Eng.) is an asset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to prepare Board-level materials, facilitate executive discussions, and deliver compelling presentations to senior audiences
  • Strong political acumen with ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and manage competing stakeholder interests
