We have an opportunity for a permanent full-time Visual Designer role to join our Branded Editions Team.

As a Visual Designer, you will provide significant value to the company by enhancing its visual communication, brand identity, and user experience for all the stakeholders and publishers.

Your contribution will be an ultimate driver towards PressReader’s success. Also, a big plus factor is you will be working with a very enthusiastic and collaborative team.

In this role, you will :

Manage all visual aspects of Branded Editions products for partners (in collaboration with Project Manager and client).

This includes, but is not limited to, custom HTML5 landing pages, native apps, app store imagery, and app store descriptions.

  • Develop layout and templates for new Compiled Editions products.
  • Create concepts, ideas, designs and other creative assets needed to aid in the sale and positioning of the Branded Editions and Compiled Editions products to publishers and other content creators.
  • Remain current on trends in visual design.
  • Conduct research or other investigation as needed to support the design requirements of clients (including understanding client brands).
  • Manage (in conjunction with client) app store uploads, app updates, and in-app purchasing (IAP) configuration and updates.
  • Collaborate with BE colleagues (sales, operations, product) to ensure that products align with the needs of the client, are completed in a timely manner, use the latest design standards and meet app store requirements.
  • Engage with PressReader’s Creative Lab to ensure alignment with PressReader corporate brand for sales enablement and BE / CE marketing materials.
  • Support and mentor design co-op students.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Content Group and other departments, as required.

You are a great fit if you have :

  • At least 2 years plus work experience in a graphic design studio, user experience design or related field
  • An exceptional portfolio of design work, demonstrating your innovative and broad skillset
  • Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and CSS
  • A coding-level knowledge of HTML and CSS, including the ability to modify existing codes to fix minor CSS issues
  • Familiarity with project management systems like , Wrike, or Trello
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong collaborator with a team-oriented mindset
  • Proven adaptability and flexibility in responding to evolving project requirements, tools, and feedback
  • A highly organized with strong time management skills
  • The ability to develop innovative solutions to design challenges
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, UX / UI Design, or any related field

Bonus points if you :

  • Have a passion for new technologies, someone who is an early adopter and always excited about the next OS update from Apple or Android.
  • Have a keen interest in the publishing industry and enthusiastic about collaborating with publishers
  • Have experience working with developers both for web and mobile
