AS2 (40 hrs) : $23.79 – $26.76 per hourAS3 (36.25 hrs) : $23.34 – $29.53 per hourAdditional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation :

The Cold Lake District is part of the Northern Region Alberta Provincial Parks operations. The Provincial Parks within this District are located in proximity to the communities of Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul, and Elk Point.
Roles & Responsibilities
Information Officer (AS2)
Operate AspiraOne system for camper registrations, reservations, cancellations, check‑outs, payments, and refunds.Perform cash handling and point‑of‑sale operations.Maintain facility security, cleanliness, and opening / closing procedures.Execute retail sales of firewood, concession items, ice / ice cream, and rentals.Manage inventory, restock merchandise, and notify management of low stock.Record safety, accident, and wildlife occurrence reports.Maintain lost and found records.Distribute park materials and provide visitor information on activities, regulations, and nearby amenities.Assist with emergencies, complaints, and coordinate with other staff.Seasonal District Admin Support (AS3)
Review and reconcile campground and retail sales revenue using Excel and prepare weekly bank deposits.Assist Information Officers with cash‑out discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.Support supervisor with booth and store inventory management.Facilitate communication between program areas for operational efficiency and visitor satisfaction.Coordinate and deliver training for Information Officers on business operations, reservation systems, and GOA processes.Assist Visitor Services Supervisor by arranging coverage for staff absences.Key Competencies

High school diploma.English language proficiency.Availability for weekend and evening shifts.Valid, unrestricted Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence (or equivalent).Criminal record check.Standard First Aid and CPR certification.Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher).Preferred Experience
Familiarity with campground operations and etiquette.Experience with Shop.AlbertaParks.ca and / or AspiraOne.Experience in customer service, cash handling, or administration.Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills.Independent problem‑solving and adaptability.Terms of Employment
Seasonal contract (Apr / May 2026 – Sep 2026).AS2 : 40‑hour work week; AS3 : 36.25‑hour week.Evening and weekend work required with premium pay.Positions involve outdoor work in various weather conditions.Adherence to Alberta Parks Uniform Policy required.Additional Notes
