Designer – Civil Engineering Site Development | Kitchener

Overview

A leading multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineering Designer to join its Site Development team in Kitchener. The successful candidate will contribute to impactful private and public development projects while collaborating within a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary environment.

Role Summary

The Designer will support a variety of industrial, commercial, institutional (ICI), and residential site development projects. This role involves hands-on design and analysis, preparation of technical documentation, and coordination with project teams to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design and analysis, including storm and sanitary sewer systems, site grading, water distribution systems, and stormwater management modelling.
• Prepare functional servicing reports and stormwater management reports / briefs.
• Ensure design documents align with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate design intent to CAD staff and support drafting workflows.
• Participate in project team meetings and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Conduct field reviews during construction, as required.
• Support additional related tasks as assigned.
