The machinist works under the supervision of the production machining foreman. The selected individual machines industrial pump parts and ensures their quality.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to various team members.
- Machine steel or other alloy parts on a conventional lathe, radial drill and milling machine.
- Adjust, balance, and measure parts with precision.
- Assess damaged parts.
- Participate in creating plans for part modifications.
- Maintain assigned equipment, workstation, and tools.
- Evaluate the scope of work and its relevance.
- Collaborate and coordinate work with various trades.
- Actively participate in achieving team objectives.
- Observe production-related issues and propose concrete and innovative solutions to implement.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Training And Experience
Hold a vocational studies diploma in machining combined with one (1) to two (2) years of experience in machining.Technical Requirements
Good knowledge and skills in electricity and mechanics.Excellent mastery of reading and interpreting plans and specifications.Basic knowledge of programming codes, computer techniques, and Fanuc, Siemens and Mitsubishi control.Proficiency in the English language is an asset (machine interface).Soft Skills
