We’re looking for a
Staff Developer / Software Architect
to help shape what’s next. In this role, you’ll take a systems-level view of ECHO, designing the architecture and infrastructure needed to support its evolution into a
scalable SaaS platform . You’ll ensure the product remains functional, secure, and reliable, while enabling rapid development and onboarding of new clients.
This is a role for someone who connects the dots between features, systems, and user needs. You’ll guide how the platform is built and scaled, mentor developers across the team, and play a key role in delivering a product that will become an essential infrastructure for nuclear operators across the globe.
Salary Range : $150-180k
(Exact compensation may vary).
Responsibilities
Design and evolve the system architecture with a focus on scalability, multi-tenancy, modularity, and performance as ECHO transitions into a SaaS platform.
Lead technical decision-making for platform-wide concerns like client management, data isolation, access control, and observability.
Provide architectural oversight across product areas to ensure features work cohesively and efficiently within a shared platform.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and designers to co-create solutions based on real-world user needs and operational complexity.
Mentor developers and set engineering standards that promote clean, testable, maintainable, and scalable code.
Support both front-end and back-end teams, ensuring that UX, performance, and infrastructure evolve together.
Drive improvements in DevOps and CI / CD processes, enabling reliable releases and platform stability.
Guide API design and system integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity with tools like Maximo and Power BI.
Identify and lead platform refactors, shared components, and reusable services that improve maintainability and accelerate delivery.
Contribute to the long-term technical vision of ECHO as a secure, flexible, and mission-critical SaaS platform.
Requirements
8–10 years of full stack development experience, with a strong foundation in architectural design and scalable platform development.
Proven success building or evolving a SaaS product, including knowledge of multi-tenant systems, tenant onboarding, data partitioning, and secure deployment patterns.
Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, including React, Node.js, and Next.js.
Experience with API development, systems integration, and relational databases (especially PostgreSQL).
Deep understanding of CI / CD pipelines, test automation, infrastructure-as-code, and agile product delivery.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to raise the bar across a growing engineering team.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a user-first mindset, especially in high-impact industries like energy or infrastructure.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Bonus Points
Experience working with Maximo, ACE, or other enterprise asset management tools.
Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms used by technical teams.
Experience integrating OpenAI or other LLM-based tools into enterprise workflows.
Knowledge of regulatory and operational challenges in nuclear or other safety-critical industries.
