QA / Testing Specialist

The Provincial Clinical Viewer Project aims to consolidate three disparate clinical viewers into a single provincial solution, improving efficiency and enabling integrated access to reliable electronic patient data across the continuum of care. This initiative supports better clinical decision-making, standardized integration, and timely access to health information for patients and providers.

Role Overview

As a Senior System Testing / QA Specialist , you will lead quality assurance activities, including creating and executing automated test suites for UI and APIs, functional testing, and defect management. Your work ensures the delivery of a high-quality, scalable solution for provincial healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and scenarios for UI and API testing.
• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Create and run manual and automated test cases for UI screens and APIs.
• Perform functional and integration testing across non-production environments.
• Generate and validate complex test data using automated tools.
• Log, track, and manage defects in JIRA ; produce detailed test execution reports.
• Collaborate with QA Lead, PM, IT Lead, and BA to ensure quality standards.
• Conduct smoke / sanity tests for deployments and environment stability.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and train QA team members.
• Work within Agile-Scrum and DevOps / CICD methodologies.
• Comprehensive test strategy and plan .
• Automated and manual test scripts for UI and APIs.
• Defect reports and test execution summaries.
• Knowledge transfer documentation for the Provincial Viewer Program.
