Our Client is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to support Central Intake program. The successful consultant will lead planning and implementation activities for Central Waitlist Management, including digital integrations, clinical workflow development, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and cross-regional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex healthcare and digital implementation projects using formal project management methodologies.
Develop and maintain project charters, business cases, project plans, schedules, workplans, risk logs, issue logs, status reports, and other project-management artifacts.
Support planning and delivery of the Central Waitlist Management Stage 2 go-live.
Coordinate integration activities involving digital platforms, vendors, regional partners, and Ontario Health teams.
Work with clinical leads and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop clinical workflows.
Support process improvement, process redesign, and re-engineering activities.
Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
Prepare executive presentations, briefing notes, discussion documents, meeting materials, and status reports.
Participate in meetings with project sponsors and senior leadership to provide visibility into project status, risks, and decisions.
Provide secretariat support to working groups, steering committees, and governance forums.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and consensus-building discussions.
Manage relationships across clinical, operational, digital, regional, vendor, and executive stakeholder groups.
Support organizational change management, communications, adoption, and transition activities.
Ensure project reporting and documentation align with Enterprise Project Management Office standards.
Complete documentation, knowledge transfer, and project walkthroughs before the end of the engagement.
Mandatory Requirements
Demonstrated project-management experience leading complex initiatives using formal methodologies.
Experience producing project charters, workplans, schedules, risk logs, issue logs, status reports, and related project artifacts.
Strong process improvement, process redesign, or business process re-engineering experience.
Experience supporting or leading digital technology implementations.
Experience coordinating vendors, digital teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners.
Strong stakeholder-engagement, requirements-gathering, facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
Strong executive communication, reporting, presentation, and technical-writing abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a complex matrix-management environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Five to seven years of project-management or process-improvement experience in a hospital, healthcare, or clinical environment.
Minimum three years of experience working in healthcare or another clinical setting.
Experience working with clinical stakeholders and healthcare service-delivery models.
Experience implementing referral systems, scheduling platforms, clinical workflows, central intake solutions, or enterprise digital platforms.
Experience leading provincial, enterprise-wide, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
Experience managing projects with multiple workstreams and budgets exceeding $10 million.
Experience in strategy development, health-services planning, program implementation, and quality improvement.
Experience facilitating and coaching interdisciplinary teams through organizational change.
Experience within central intake, waitlist management, scheduling, referral management, or patient-access environments.
Previous Ontario public-sector experience.
PMP certification is preferred.
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Technology, Health Sciences, Health Administration, Informatics, or a related discipline. A master's degree would be considered an asset.
