Role

The Senior Technical Consultant - R&D is a leading member of the Veeva Systems Professional Services group. You will provide consulting and technical architecture design on projects implementing Veeva Vault R&D applications and Vault Platform cloud solutions to life sciences customers. You will act as a customer advocate, working closely with Services, Product, Sales, and Strategy teams to ensure customer success both today and in the future. This is a remote, full-time permanent role; qualified U.S. and Canada–based applicants near an airport and able to travel are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Provide subject matter expertise on the Veeva Systems implementation, Vault R&D product suite, Vault Platform, technical design, and SaaS implementation best practices
• Design and implement cloud-based integrations
• Design and provide expertise for the development of custom applications
• Implement Java-based solutions using the Vault Java SDK
• Manage integration and development projects and resources
• Contribute to the professional services knowledge base
• Develop internal and external tools to help customers and consultants
• Partner with other parts of the organization to deliver technical presentations and evangelize the value of Veeva’s solution

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with integration architecture, design, and development for enterprise/cloud software (e.g., Salesforce.com, SAP, Workday) or document/content management systems (e.g., OpenText, SharePoint, Documentum)
• 7+ years of customer-facing technical consulting experience
• 5+ years of development experience in Java, .NET, Python, C#, or C++
• Experience building cloud/SaaS solutions using REST APIs
• Proven track record presenting to senior management and executives as a subject matter expert
• Experience leading and mentoring team members
• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience with SDLC processes
• Ability to articulate integration design patterns
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Must be located in and legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada

• Experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry
• Experience with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, or Safety processes
• Project management experience for enterprise software implementations
• Experience with GxP regulations and software validation
• Document/Data migration experience
• Product Manager experience
• Experience with source code control systems
• AWS tools such as Lambda and EC2

Compensation

• Base pay: CAD 100,000 - 145,000
• Salary range shown complies with local regulations and may vary by experience and location. Offers may include additional compensation such as bonuses or stock.
