Requirements and Competencies

• Fluent English: Ability to negotiate and manage conflicts in English. (Daily interaction with international stakeholders).
• Experience in IT Project Management: Minimum of good years in management, with a strong bias in Data, BI or ERP projects.
• Experience in the Resources Sector: Previous experience in Mining, Energy or Oil & Gas clients (Ex: Vale, Petrobras), understanding the criticality of operational reports.

Essential Requirements (Hard Skills)

• Mastery of Agile Methodologies: Proven experience running Scrum and Kanban in technical teams. Certifications such as CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), PSM, or PMI-ACP are highly valued.
• Fluency in SAP/Analytics: Functional knowledge of the SAP ecosystem (knowing what an SAP BO Universe, a BW Cube or a HANA View is). You don't need to code, but you do need to understand the architecture to discuss deadlines.
• Management Tools: Advanced mastery of JIRA (creation of dashboards, JQL queries, flow management) and Confluence.
• Risk Management: Ability to map cross‑dependencies in complex enterprise environments.

Soft Skills

• Servant Leadership: Focus on facilitating the work of the technical team, not just demanding deadlines.
• Assertive Communication: Ability to say “no” or negotiate scope with senior stakeholders without generating friction.
• Resiliency and Adaptability: Ability to quickly adjust routes in a dynamic environment where changing business priorities.

Differentials / Nice to Have:

• SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification for working in large corporations.
• Previous experience as an SAP Consultant or BI Developer before migrating to management.
• Knowledge of modern visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAC) to support the technological transition.
• Robust architecture of data and AI ecosystems for Vale Brazil and Canada, supporting predictive analytics, operational intelligence and innovation.
• Execution of strategic digital transformation projects driven by data, machine learning and AI.
• Dissemination of data governance, policies, training and technical enablement.
• Audit, compliance, and data security support.
• Direct influence on data‑driven decision‑making, sustainability and global operational excellence.
