As part of the largest baking company in the world, Bimbo Canada is a leading producer and distributor of packaged fresh bread, bakery products and snacks. We produce and distribute more than 1,000 products across 18 brands Canadians know and trust, including Dempster's, Villaggio, POM, Bon Matin, Stonemill, Natural Bakery, Takis, Thomas', Little Bites, Vachon, Hostess and more.

In business for more than 110 years, the company operates 15 bakeries and employs approximately 4,000 associates across Canada. Bimbo Canada creates value by leading manufacturing and service delivery innovation in the baking industry through ongoing improvement and refinement of its supply chain network while serving major grocery chains, retail outlets and foodservice operations across Canada.

At Bimbo Canada, we’re more than just a bakery — we’re a family dedicated to baking delicious moments for millions. Our beliefs are the foundation of our success, and we’re looking for people who share our commitment to excellence.

Hiring Requirements

This role is integral to managing Merit cycles (in collaboration with performance management), Annual Performance Bonus, Long-Term Incentives, Associate Vehicle Programs, and Organizational Benchmarking, including Structure Analysis.

For relocation and international assignments, the Senior Compensation Analyst will ensure seamless processes, enhancing the associate experience and supporting smooth integration into Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of salary structures and pay policies with company objectives, market trends, and Global GB standards.
  • Lead market surveys to establish competitive benchmarks, analyzing results to validate salary ranges, variable pay opportunities, and job classifications.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance to align compensation plans with budgetary constraints and organizational goals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management, summarizing compensation trends and recommendations.
  • Drive initiatives in pay equity and transparency to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain data accuracy and adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Manage relocation and international assignments, balancing Canadian standards with global policies.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, coordinating with tax consultants, mobility providers, and immigration consultants.
  • Own and enhance the associate vehicle program, identifying policy improvements and efficiencies.
  • Provide expert support for compensation-related inquiries, including market adjustments, promotions, and structural changes.

Experience & Education

  • Bilingual required (French and English written and oral).
  • 3+ years of experience in compensation analysis
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Canadian compensation trends and practices
  • Basic knowledge of immigration laws and regulations is a plus, as well as familiarity with tax support and vehicle program administration
  • High proficiency in compensation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferred
