Course Number and Title: VIS406H1S - Public Art
Course Description: This course is an introduction into the complex process of public art. Through lectures, projects, seminars and field trips the student will develop a clearer understanding of the collaborative nature of public production around key issues such as advocacy, environmental ethics, and the sensual nature of space.

Salary (per half-course, inclusive of vacation):
Sessional Lecturer I: $ 9,997.58
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $ 10,699.22
Sessional Lecturer II $ 10,699.22
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $ 10,953.96
Sessional Lecturer III: $ 10,953.96
Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $ 11,228.90
*Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
Minimum Qualifications: MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with previous teaching experience. Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist or curator. Applicants may be asked to supply references.
Preferred Qualifications: Internationally recognized practice.
Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, preparation and delivery of assignments, tests; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
