We are currently seeking a Intermediate Cognos BI Developer to join our team in Remote, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

This position can be fully remote or hybrid but is expected to work within standard PST business hours.

Once You Are Here, You Will :

• Assist in data management deliverables such as business need analysis, data source identification and analysis and data modeling techniques.
• Participate in the analysis and resolution of issues related to information flow and content with data stakeholders.
• Gather data and develop reports for major statistical data calls received from various sources.
• Implement and maintain the reporting of data to various departments.
• Apply business knowledge to analyze data, develop reports and solve problems.
• Research and resolve any data or reporting issues that arise.
• Communicate all data issues or problems to management and makes recommendations for solutions.
• Establish and implement audit tools and procedures to monitor the team's performance.
• Perform ad hoc analyses of data depending on business needs.

Mandatory Qualifications :

• Possess a college diploma or university degree focused on computer science, or equivalent experience
• Minimum five (5) years' experience designing dimensional models (i.e. Kimball methodology)
• Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote work scenario
• Six (6) years' experience working with Oracle and PL-SQL, including DML and DDL
• Five (5) years' experience developing ETL solutions in Data Manager or DataStage
• Five (5) years' experience developing Cognos solutions, including Transformer Cubes, Reporting Packages, Reports
• Experience with Administrating Cognos Analytics on-premise

Preferred :

• Experience working with SQL Server (2019 preferred)
• Experience working with T-SQL
• Experience developing ETL solutions using a combination of SSIS and SSMS (stored procedures, functions, etc.)
• Experience designing and developing reporting solutions for on-premises architectures utilizing tools such as SSRS and Power BI
