Staff Accountant

Our client in Oakville is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support their financial operations on a hybrid basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in full-cycle Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, GL maintenance, and month-end close.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review monthly general ledger account reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve GL discrepanciesPerform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accountsAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and supporting schedulesMonitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue balancesCommunicate with clients to resolve billing issues and confirm payment statusApply customer payments and maintain accurate AR subledger recordsGenerate and distribute customer statements, aging reports, and AR summariesSupport AR analysis and management reportingAssist with audit preparation, providing documentation as requiredCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and complianceParticipate in process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting function3+ Staff Accountant experience, including hands-on work with AR, GL, reconciliations, and journal entriesStrong understanding of full-cycle AR, bank reconciliation, and month-end processesProficiency with Excel and experience using accounting/ERP systemsHigh attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independentlyClear communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindsetRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
