Project Manager - Senior - 92060-1

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end integration and delivery of digital and AI initiatives. You will work closely with a tech IT project manager to ensure all business work packages are properly managed. This is a hands-on role where you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with budgets of $5 million or more and durations of 12-18 months. You will be the primary delivery executive, accountable for overall project execution, financial oversight, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. Your ability to navigate executive-level discussions and lead a team of over 15 members is crucial to success in this role.

Responsibilities
•Lead and manage multiple projects (3-4 in parallel) with a focused approach to meet business sponsor objectives.
•Act as the primary delivery executive, partnering with the tech IT project manager on project financials, client relationships, and service delivery quality.
•Work closely with senior-level executives (Sr. Director, VP, SVP) and lead executive-level business and technology discussions.
•Lead project teams through problem determination and issue resolution.
•Create and manage project artifacts, including Project Charters, Project Management Plans, and financial monitoring reports.
•Participate in requirement documentation and ensure desired scope objectives are met.
•Accountable for business work package planning, execution, and implementation, including procedure updates, communication, and training plans.
•Conduct change initiative risk assessments and work with risk associates to identify and mitigate business risks.
•Monitor all testing and implementation activities to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.
•Create and oversee business verification test plans for post-implementation activities.
•Provide warranty support, monitoring and resolving issues post-implementation.


Qualifications
•Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in project management, specifically in a business-focused environment.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build productive relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.
•Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
•Strong experience in managing project financials (forecasting vs. actuals).
•A Bachelor's degree is required.
•Experience within the banking industry (preferably with CIBC).
•Previous experience working with risk groups.
•Familiarity with SEED and business cases.
•PMP certification is a nice-to-have.
