Are you a numbers-driven student with a passion for precision and a curiosity for how finance powers a business? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant Co-op to join our dynamic Accounting team at our Richmond head office starting January 2027!
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world accounting experience in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment. You’ll work approximately 20 hours per week while balancing your studies — perfect for someone eager to apply classroom learning to meaningful work.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key support to our accounting operations, you’ll get hands-on experience with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Handling full-cycle accounts payable
Ensuring timely and accurate bank payments
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and preparing account schedules
Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
Collaborating with team members to meet critical financial deadlines
Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Contributing to audits by verifying financial transactions and documents
Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations, and data confidentiality
Supporting database backup processes
Taking on additional projects and duties as needed — no two days are the same!
What We’re Looking For:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary accounting or finance program and in your 4th year of study
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (bonus if you love pivot tables!)
A self-starter with excellent attention to detail and time management
Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to thrive in a team setting
