Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Direct Hire Shipper/Receiver opportunity in the Leslie and Highway 7 area, L4B 1L7, with an established automotive manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented shipping professional with recent Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive experience, strong forklift skills, and the confidence to oversee shipping activity during the afternoon shift after day staff have left.

The Shipper/Receiver will play a key role in ensuring accurate shipments, smooth material flow, proper documentation, and on-time carrier coordination. This is not a general material handling role. It requires strong shipping and receiving knowledge, accuracy with SAP and RF scanning, and the ability to communicate effectively with production, quality, materials, carriers, and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely load and unload trucks, receive incoming purchase orders, customer returns, parts, and materials from suppliers, customers, and plant locations.
- Verify quantities, weights, part details, and condition of received materials, including reporting damages and documentation issues.
- Enter shipping and receiving information using RF scanners, barcode systems, and SAP, ensuring bills of lading and paperwork are accurate and complete.
- Print pick lists, label parts, pack products, and stage shipments according to shipping schedules for upcoming truck pickups and next-day deliveries.
- Package, tag, and label materials according to AIAG and customer standards, including creating and printing barcode labels through SAP.
- Coordinate with shipping supervision, materials, production, quality control, carriers, dispatch, and drivers to support on-time pickups, drop trailers, and smooth material flow.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay rate: $25.78 per hour.
- Afternoon shift: 2:30 p.m. to 10:40 p.m.
- Must be flexible to work day shift when required.
