About the Role
Our client is looking for a QA Specialist, you will contribute to end-to-end testing activities across the system delivery lifecycle. You'll work closely with project managers, QA leads, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure applications meet functional, technical, accessibility, and performance standards. This role is fully onsite and requires strong hands-on QA experience in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Review functional and design specifications to understand system requirements
Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Execute manual testing including functional, regression, data, integration, AODA, and system testing
Identify, document, track, and manage defects through the full defect lifecycle
Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions
Prepare realistic test data and execute database queries to validate results
Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and client stakeholders during defect triage and resolution
Provide clear test execution results, defect reports, and status updates
Participate in test plan and test case reviews with cross-functional teams
Contribute to knowledge transfer through documentation and team collaboration
Must Haves
8+ years of hands-on QA experience, including leading QA activities
Strong experience with defect tracking tools and collaborative QA processes
Solid knowledge of all phases of the SDLC
Experience with version control systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to see the "big picture" and help integrate QA standards and processes
Nice to Haves
Experience with automated testing tools
Hands-on experience with SQL or database queries for data validation
Experience testing enterprise, web, cloud, SaaS, or COTS applications
Experience supporting UAT in public sector or government environments
Prior experience working in government or public sector organizations
