Position Description:
Toronto, ON (Hybrid: minimum 2 days/week onsite at downtown office and/or client site; subject to change)
We are looking for a Business Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. This role focuses on structured project execution, stakeholder alignment, and continuous process improvement within a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in financial services, along with the ability to drive change, optimize processes, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of business projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, budget, and quality.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define requirements, and co-create practical, scalable solutions.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
• Develop and maintain project artifacts including plans, roadmaps, risk logs, issue tracking, and status reports.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and governance forums to support decision-making and alignment.
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies, proactively mitigating risks and resolving blockers.
• Support organizational change management (OCM) efforts, including communication strategies, training, and adoption planning.
Contribute to continuous improvement of project management frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and align diverse stakeholders.
• Communication: Clear, concise, and adaptable communication across business and technical audiences.
• Organizational Change Management (OCM): Experience supporting change initiatives, adoption strategies, and transformation efforts.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•7–10 years of proven experience in business project management roles.
•Strong background in financial services (banking, insurance, or related sectors).
•Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
•Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
•Experience with project management tools and reporting frameworks.
•Experience in mortgage or lending domains is a plus
•Demonstrated success in process optimization within financial services.
