Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst - Master-Level Internship

Level: Master's Level Internship

Department: IT and Security

Duration: 520 Hours (approximately 3 months)

Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto)

Compensation: Hourly ($32)

The Vosyn internship is unique. Remuneration is equivalent to $32.00 CAD per hour payable in common shares of the Corporation at the then fair market value. For greater clarity, NO cash in-hand (in hourly rate or salary) will be paid to the Intern. Instead, Vosyn being an AI start-up, the upside is in potential future value of said shares based on the hours worked, billed and approved.

About Us: At Vosyn, we embrace the exciting, game-changing world of Artificial Intelligence, driving innovation and pioneering impactful projects across various industries. We are a trailblazing Language Synthesis AI firm reshaping global communication by dissolving language barriers and empowering users. We believe in fostering a culture of flexibility, continuous improvement, and solution-focused strategies. Here, every idea is welcomed, nurtured, and has the potential to scale to new heights. Currently, we're at the forefront of a significant IPO endeavor, truly a unicorn in the making. We invite you to be part of our journey and leave your imprint on the future of AI.

About the Role: As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure, sensitive data, and digital assets against cyber threats. This position requires a proactive professional who can monitor security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents while ensuring compliance with Canadian regulatory standards and global security frameworks.

You will collaborate with IT teams to strengthen cybersecurity practices, develop secure protocols, and protect the organization against emerging threats. This immersive internship offers hands-on experience, collaboration with senior management, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. While demanding, it promises to be a rewarding complement to your academic journey, equipping you with valuable skills and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security systems, networks, and applications to detect and mitigate threats.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and resolve security weaknesses.
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including analyzing root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to strengthen defenses.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

About You:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master's program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's program enrollment or completion is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and threat analysis.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, such as SIEM platforms, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and cybersecurity frameworks applicable to Canada.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls is a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or other relevant credentials are a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

We believe exceptional talent often emerges from diverse paths. If you possess a profound curiosity, a genuine passion for continuous personal and professional growth, and a strong desire to apply your unique abilities to create significant impact within our team, we strongly encourage you to apply—even if your background doesn't align perfectly with every single qualification.
