About the role:
We are actively seeking an Autonomous Hardware and Radio Technician to join the Côté Gold Mine Site. This role is responsible for the reliable operation of the hardware and radio systems that support the autonomous haulage and drill fleet. The Autonomous Hardware/Radio Technician ensures safe, effective and timely implementation, configuration and maintenance of the operational mining technology network and wireless communication systems.
This role will be based on our Cote Gold Mine Site (Gogama, ON), on a rotational schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain wired/wireless communications for autonomous haulage and drill equipment
- Deploy VHF/UHF, WIFI mesh, and microwave systems to support High Precision Machine Guidance
- Execute preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure all hardware meets safety and performance standards
- Identify field inefficiencies and apply Command for Haulage expertise to improve fleet throughput and quality
- Troubleshoot technical issues while weighing impacts on time, cost, sustainability, and safety
- Manage mining databases, fleet management software, and equipment logs to ensure reporting accuracy
- Partner with Mine Operators and Control teams to coordinate shift deliverables and resolve fleet problems
- Train new team members and manage Fleet Management System (FMS) inventory to prevent downtime
Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- College diplomas or university degrees in a related field such electrical, OT, autonomous systems technology is considered an asset
Relevant Experience:
- 5 or more years of experience as an electrician or 5 or more years of experience supporting communications infrastructure (Ethernet, fiber-optic, radio, microwave, wireless).
- Experience with Fleet Management Systems, Autonomous Mining Systems, High Precision Machine Guidance, Cisco Wi-Fi and LTE Radio Systems is considered an asset.
- Experience installing, maintaining and fault-finding radio communications equipment and Fleet Management Systems is considered an asset;
- Mining experience may be considered an asset but is not required.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:
- Highly organized and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- An aptitude for learning technical material and are detail orientated.
- Understanding of Microwave PTP, PTMP based radio and antennae systems; and
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and Technical Specifications.

Salary Range: $89,000-122,400
