Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Dominion Securities is a relationship-focused investment and wealth management firm that consistently ranks #1 in Canada. We are proud of our collaborative, supportive culture that enables success at every level and equips us to help our clients achieve their financial goals.

Our downtown Toronto wealth management practice is seeking an experienced candidate to join our leading team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to deepen client relationships, support our Advisor team, and build their career within a high-performing organization backed by RBC’s stability and resources.

By providing ongoing, exceptional service and support to our clients and Advisor team, you will help strengthen existing relationships, welcome new clients to the firm, and play a key role in wealth management planning. As an invaluable internal and external point of contact, you will maintain client accounts, ensure compliance and documentation accuracy, and collaborate on portfolio and wealth management opportunities that make a tangible difference in our clients’ financial lives.

About This Role

This is a client-facing position that combines relationship management, operational excellence, and strategic support to our Advisor team. You’ll work with high-net-worth and sophisticated clients on complex wealth planning initiatives, including retirement strategies, multi-generational wealth transfer, and philanthropic planning. Your role bridges client needs with advisor expertise, positioning you to develop deeper understanding of wealth management dynamics and advance into advisory or senior leadership roles.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Client Relationships: Maintain and deepen existing client accounts, proactively identify opportunities for client contact, and manage critical timelines and key dates to ensure clients feel supported and valued by our team.
  • Deliver Responsive Client Service: Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries (account transactions, documentation, reporting, etc.) with a solutions-oriented mindset, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Support Client Onboarding: Work collaboratively with the Advisor team to welcome and seamlessly onboard new clients, ensuring positive first impressions and smooth account setup.
  • Coordinate Wealth Planning Activities: Leverage your planning expertise to prepare comprehensive meeting materials, coordinate client and prospect meetings with Advisors, and support the full wealth management planning process. Maintain detailed records of all wealth management activities and priorities.
  • Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Become expert in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain client files and documentation that are accurate, current, and fully compliant with all applicable standards.
  • Manage Communications & Operations: Effectively triage incoming communications from clients, Advisors, internal departments, and external partners. Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery. Update team communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, and newsletters.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Draw on your superior problem-resolution skills to liaise with various departments and external partners, providing smooth and timely solutions that enhance the client experience.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Must-Have

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE
  • 2–5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or a related client-facing role
  • Strong proficiency with business applications and technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to provide world-class client service that is professional, warm, and personable
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of investment and wealth management concepts

Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems, procedures, and product offerings
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth or sophisticated clients
  • Familiarity with wealth planning tools and methodologies
  • Additional financial services certifications (e.g., PFP, CFP pathway)
  • Experience with social media management or marketing communications

Career Growth & Development

We invest in our people. You’ll benefit from:

  • Direct mentorship from experienced Advisors and senior team members

  • Access to RBC’s world-class training programs in financial services and wealth management
  • Ongoing education support for pursuing advanced certifications (CFP, PFP, etc.)
  • Exposure to sophisticated wealth planning strategies and high-net-worth client dynamics

What’s in It for You

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, think progressively, and work together to deliver trusted advice that helps our clients thrive. You’ll be part of a team that cares about each other and collectively works hard to reach our potential and make a difference in our communities.

Total Rewards & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses and incentive opportunities
  • Comprehensive benefits program including health, dental, vision, and wellness coverage
  • Flexible benefits allowing you to tailor coverage to your needs
  • RRSP matching and retirement planning support
  • Professional development budget for certifications and training
  • Access to RBC’s employee programs and community involvement opportunities

Why Join Us

  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing team environment
  • Make a tangible difference in clients’ financial lives and long-term wealth outcomes
  • Grow your expertise in wealth management within a firm ranked #1 in Canada
  • Build your career with the backing and resources of a global financial institution
  • Enjoy a supportive culture that enables success and invests in your development
